Our achievements (some in partnership with Snaith and Cowick Town Council and / or the East Riding of Yorkshire Council) include the following:

  • Improved local signage and replacement of the Snaith road signs
  • Reduced speed limits in East Cowick
  • Poster competitions about litter and recycling for primary schools

  • Annual Heritage Day
  • Slide shows about history of area
  • Annual daffodil bulb planting (we have planted thousands of bulbs along the verges)
  • Response to “A New Start for Community Health Services”
  • Response to Flood Plan 2007
  • Responses to East Riding Development Plan and the Revised Plan
  • Successfully lobbied for a ban of HGV traffic between Carlton Bridge and Snaith, with periodic surveys continuing
  • Cycle path from Snaith to East Cowick
  • Involvement in Rail Action Group
  • Research into improving local bus service
  • HGV parking banned at the cemetery
  • Lobbying ERYC to prevent HGV overnight parking in Ferry Lane
  • Incident check list for all residents
